The Basque Country Window Renewal Plan 2015 has just come into force and has a total budget of €1,000,000 for the renovation of old windows with new, energy-efficient ones .
This program seeks to improve the energy efficiency of Special Data commonly used homes located in the Basque Country , which will see their energy consumption for heating reduced, thanks to greater thermal protection from the outside. The Ente Vasco de la Energía (EVE) – the Energy Agency of the Basque Government – began receiving applications on September 8, the deadline for which will remain in force until the allocated funds of €1 million have been exhausted .
To qualify for this subsidy, it is an essential requirement to present the complete documentation specified in the public bases available on the corporate website of the Basque Energy enewal substitutions with an invoice issued after January 1, 2015 will be valid , but in no case will invoices with a date after the budget exhaustion be accepted. It is expected that more than 1,500 habitual homes in the Basque Country will benefit from this aid.
The Window Renewal Plan will contribute to the cost of the windows as a whole - profiles, glass and blind box - as well as the cost of the masonry necessary for their installation. The maximum amount that will be subsidized will be 22% of the investment and each home may receive up to a maximum of 1,000 euros in aid, an amount that cannot be exceeded in any case. Only renovations of windows of habitual residences located in the Autonomous Community of Euskadi will be admitted. Furthermore, EVE reserves the right to carry out inspections to verify the effective execution of the investment being supported.
Regarding the requirements that windows must have to qualify for this program, they must be windows or doors that are part of the exterior enclosures of the home and separate heated rooms from the outside environment. For this reason, those windows located in the interior enclosures of the home will not be considered. In addition, they must have CE marking , be made of PVC or aluminum with thermal bridge breakage and have double glazing made up of glass with reinforced insulation (ATR) that has an air chamber with a minimum thickness of 14 mm and thermal transmittance of less than or equal to at 1.40 W/m2 K.
